A balanced diet is important for constant energy and to maintain good health. The overall working of nervous, respiratory, digestive and circulatory systems usually rely on healthy food habits. The perfect blend of foods in a balanced diet like vegetables, grains, low-fat dairy foods and lean meats are healthy sources with the lowest amount of saturated fats, sugar, alcohol, and cholesterol.

Balanced Diet vs. Healthy Diet

Most people often confuse balanced diet with the healthy diet. Actually, balanced diet is not fit for everyone. A balanced diet covers the specific parts of all groups of food items. On the other side, a healthy diet can fulfill all your needs as a fine-tuned diet. If you are gluten-intolerant, you may not be ready for balanced diet because it is loaded with grains that contain gluten. A balanced diet contains various types of food. So you have to avoid eating same foods, especially those you eat daily and that you like. If you consume same food every day, your diet will remain unbalanced. It will store a lot of cholesterol and fat or it can make you lose vitamins.

To get started, you have to commit to consuming three meals every day. You should pack your lunch and snacks before you go out for work. You can pack your meals and control your diet. You shouldn’t eat fast foods at lunch time or you cannot control your diet.

You also have to maintain extra fats and sugars for a balanced diet to 410 calories.

In your breakfast, take lightly buttered, oatmeal or whole wheat brain, sliced orange, low-fat milk (1/2 cup), or a cup of pears.

In your lunch, you should take sandwiches made of turkey or light chicken and whole wheat bread, tomato, 1 cheese slice and lettuce. You may choose mustard or ketchup instead of mayonnaise as they are low fat. You may take them with a cup of 100% fruit juice.

Have some banana, milk and light and healthy cookies for afternoon brunch.

For dinner, have grilled or steamed chicken (4 to 6 Oz), 1 cup of broccoli and some mashed potatoes (light buttered). For dessert, have some Jello or pudding with a cup of milk.

Store some veggies in the fridge so you can make your favorite snacks when you want to consume something healthy along the day. Have some apples or whole wheat toast to control your balanced diet.
